2016, What a year!
Wow! 2016 has been a year with a lot of highlights. Our platform grew into something bigger than the both of us could imagine and it all felt like a roller coaster. All the new video reviews that we’ve made for our YouTube channel, a place for people from all over the world who love pop-ups or still have to discover pop-up books. Keith Allen’s What a Mess! Kickstarter project that we’ve followed form the start. What a ride! Not just the book but also his campaign was an adventure to follow. Our very first newsletter and all the great e-mails we’ve got from collectors, publishers and Paper Engineers. All the books that are send to us from publishers and authors. Our video introduction for the Movable Book Society Conference in Boston. Also, this December we’ve reached over 10k unique visitors and 23k page views on our website within a month. And there’s so much more… We’re just honored and surprised about how everybody embraced our idea to create a pop-up book platform. All of this gives us much energy and motivation to continue what we do. And we’ve just started! We will try create a better and even more complete platform in 2017 that is all about pop-up books and paper engineering. We can’t wait to start the new year with more reviews, pop-up book news and interviews with collectors and Paper Engineers!

We’ve gathered over 800 FaceBook followers in 2016! FaceBook is a great way to get in touch with our followers, collectors and Paper Engineers from all over the world. The most asked question on FaceBook is Do we ship the pop-up books we review? We do our best to help most people on their way to find the pop-up book they are looking for and we usually recommend to look for a pop-up book seller on Ebay that also ships worldwide. Our most liked and shared post is our DIY website update. With over 48 shares we have reached more than 26.000 people with our update. That’s amazing! A big thank you to our FaceBook followers who help us to share our passion for pop-ups and we will continue sharing!

2017 Resolutions
It’s very hard to keep up with all the pop-up books that are released in a year. That’s why we try to find a mix of reviews that contain both new and classic pop-up books. We have a lot of fun ideas that we would like to work on in 2017. And most important of all, we really want to write more about Paper Engineers and their work. We’re very honored with the great interviews we’ve had with Paper Engineers like Robert Sabuda, Matthew Reinhart, Becca Zerkin and many more. We do have a list of engineers that we would love to interview in 2017 like David Carter, Bruce Foster and Kees Moerbeek. Review their work for our YouTube channel and share that with all our followers. New books that will be released in 2017, more collector interviews and updates for our pop-up book Gift Guide and DIY pages. We just can’t wait to start with all of this in 2017! We hope to see you back in the new year!
Thank you so much for all your great support, love and feedback! Please keep following us at BestPopUpBooks.com and on our social media channels. And don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more beautiful pop-up book video reviews!
Lots of love to everyone!
