During this years Brooklyn Antiquarian Book Fair, there will be a special event named popUPmania! that is totally dedicated to pop-up books and paper engineering. The Book Fair and popUPmania! event will take place on September 9 and 10 in Brooklyn New York. It’s a unique opportunity to learn more about the history of paper engineering, how to create pop-ups and also to get in touch with others who share the same interest about pop-ups and paper engineering. There will also be an exhibit of Maurice Sendak’s work and LeonardMarcus. When you’re around, make sure to mark these two days in your agenda!

A demonstration where Matthew shares the secrets of transforming paper into magical, moving and three-dimensional structures that go beyond your imagination.
The PopupLady
PopupLady Ellen G. K. Rubin is also represented and will give a lecture about the 900 years history of pop-ups and paper engineering and a dramatic presentation of Disney’s The Three Little Pigs pop-up. Ellen will also have a sales booth for selling only pop-up books, some of the rarest one can find, mostly signed and in several languages. A must see for collectors!
